In the run up the British Wills and Probate awards we were thrilled to get some time with last year’s winner of Young Practitioner of the year – Jade Gani, Head of Private Client, Aston Bond and Regional Director of Berkshire for SFE (Solicitors for the Elderly).
As a winner at last year’s British Wills and Probate Awards we were very keen to have a chat to find out how it all came about, how it felt and to find out a little more about Jade.
An introduction to Jade Gani
We spent a little bit of time getting to know Jade …
What makes you passionate about probate?
The British Wills and Probate Awards
It was great to see Jade win Young practitioner of the year at last year’s awards, many of us saw the video of jade enthusiastically jumping up and down!
We took a moment with Jade to reflect on the experience of last year’s awards.
What motivated you to enter?
How did you react to your nomination?
How did you feel when you won?
What do you see are the benefits of being an award winner?
The last 12 or so months have been unprecedented across the world. Understandably it was subject of discussion for Jade and Michael, a time to think about what the future might bring and a chance to catch up with Jade on her plans.
What are your views on the next 6-12 months in the legal industry?
Wishing Will foundation
It was our pleasure to hear from Jade about the recently launched Wishing Will Foundation, designed to help reduce the amount of intestate estates, estates without a will.
The Wishing Will Foundation provides free wills in exchange for donations to local hospices and charities in the Berkshire area. A way of raising money to support end-of-life, palliative care and respite hospices in the Thames Valley area, as well as raising additional funds for other incredibly important, local charities supporting our community so that they can all continue to provide vital services and support for many years to come.

It was our privilege last year to not only sponsor the Champagne reception element of the awards ceremony but to also sponsor the ‘Probate Provider of the year Large Firms’ category, an area of the legal sector we are particularly involved in, alongside Court of Protection, and to celebrate Kings Court Trust winning the 2020 category.
We are thrilled to continue our involvement in the British Wills and Probate Awards as this year’s Headline Sponsor. Our sponsorship reflects our respect for so many in the industry, the expertise and support they provide to clients and families during difficult circumstances and the innovation that companies bring to the industry as a whole.
